These terms cover your use of the website and blog at [fahadsheikh.net] and the software I publish (together, “my sites and software”). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.

1. Who I am

My sites and software are provided by [Fahad Sheikh], an independent developer (”I”, “me”, “my”).

2. Using my software

- Open-source software: if a project is released under an open-source license, such as MIT, that license governs your use of the code. Where the license and these terms conflict, the license wins.

- Other software: I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it under these terms.

- Your responsibility: you’re responsible for how you install, configure and secure the software, including any server you run it on and the accounts you connect to it.

3. Third-party services

My software can connect to services run by others, such as Google, Microsoft or your email provider. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. I’m not responsible for their availability, their changes, or what they do with your data.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use my sites or software to:

- break any law or infringe anyone’s rights;

- send spam, phishing or other unsolicited or deceptive messages;

- distribute malware, or try to get into systems or data you’re not authorized to access;

- disrupt, overload or attack my sites or any service I operate;

- access a service I operate by automated means beyond normal use, unless I’ve allowed it.

5. Blog and website content

Unless stated otherwise, articles, images and other content on my sites are © [Fahad Sheikh]. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link. Republishing whole articles needs my permission. Code samples in posts may be used freely unless the post says otherwise. Content is for general information, may contain errors or become out of date, and is not professional advice.

6. Your content

Anything you submit, such as comments or feedback, stays yours. By submitting it, you allow me to display it and use it to run and improve my sites and software. Don’t submit anything you don’t have the right to share. I may remove submissions at my discretion.

7. Feedback

If you send ideas or suggestions, I may use them without any obligation to you.

8. No warranty

My sites and software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Software may contain bugs. Keep your own backups of important data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. That includes loss of data, profits or business arising from your use of, or inability to use, my sites or software. My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me for the software or service in question in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

10. Indemnity

You agree to compensate me for claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of my sites or software, or from your breach of these terms.

11. Suspension and termination

I may suspend or end access to any service I operate if you break these terms, or if I need to discontinue the service. You may stop using my sites and software at any time. Sections 5 to 10 and 13 continue after termination.

12. Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use my sites or software after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [country/state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts of [city, country], unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
